PRODUCT DETAILS

Steel fibres have been used worldwide to enhance the properties of concrete. The addition of steel fibers in normal strength concrete could enhance its strength, ductility and durability. Steel fibers come under a very high modulus of elasticity and flexural strength. The hook at both ends ensures the ideal binding between the steel fibre and the concrete, greatly enhancing the anchor. Steel fibres in concrete have the ability to absorb and redistribute the loads (or energy) and provide superior resistance to minimize cracks in hardened concrete, as well as maximum resistance to withstand heavy loads, either dynamic or static.

APPLICATIONS

Conventional finishing techniques and equipment can be used when finishing FIBPRO steel fibre in concrete. In some cases an extra bull float process is advised and lowering the angle of the power float blades will help to minimise fibre exposure on the surface.
FIBPRO steel fibres are compatible with all curing compounds, superplasticizers, water reducers, hardeners and coatings
It is recommended that gloves and eye protection be used when handling or adding FIBPRO steel fibres to concrete.
It is available in 25 Kg HDPE Bag Packing and 1000 Kg Jumbo Bag Packing
As with all chemical products, care should be taken during use and storage to avoid contact with eyes, mouth, skin and foodstuffs. Treat splashes to the eyes and skin immediately. If accidentally ingested, seek medical attention. Reseal containers after use. Use in well-ventilated areas and avoid inhalation.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

MIXING DESIGNS AND PROCEDURES FIBPRO steel fibres can be added during or after the batching of the concrete but should never be added as the first component. Such devices as conveyor belts, chutes and dispensers may be used to add fibres to the mixer at the ready mix plant. After the fibres have been added, the concrete should be mixed for sufficient time (minimum 5 minutes at full mixing speed) to ensure uniform distribution of the fibres throughout the concrete. The use of mid or high-range water reducing admixtures can be advantageous, but is not essential.
